Este artigo pretende trazer à tona as objeções
elaboradas a Leibniz por Arnauld no tocante à noção de substância
individual, bem como a resposta oferecida pelo filósofo. Assim,
nos limitaremos às cartas de 01 de fevereiro de 1686 até 28 de
setembro do mesmo ano, quando Arnauld parece se satisfazer
com a explicação de Leibniz a este assunto e os temas de suas
objeções parecem mudar de foco.

This article aims to bring to light the objections
compiled by Arnauld to Leibniz regarding the notion of individual
substance, as well as the response offered by the philosopher.
Thus, we will limit ourselves to the letters of February 1, 1686
until September 28 of that year, when Arnauld seems to be
satisfied with the explanation of Leibniz to this subject, and the
themes of his objections seem to change focus.
