O artigo examina a problemática da necropolítica e sua relação com a crise da COVID-19. Trata-se, portanto, de discutir a formação do vírus como inimigo do funcionamento da máquina estatal. Diante disso, expõe-se as determinações de uma política de morte que opera de forma sistêmica, objetiva e pontual colocando em execução a máxima do biopoder: “deixar morrer”. Partindo disso, problematizam-se as configurações das categorias da gestão da vida, que pretende também reafirmar determinações sobre o controle da morte, para demonstrar o atributo da soberania na atualidade, em seu exercício legítimo do direito de matar através das políticas de inimizade.

The article examines the problem of necropolitics and its relationship with the COVID-19 crisis. It is therefore about discussing the formation of the virus as an enemy to the functioning of the state machine. Faced with this, it exposes the determinations of a policy of death that operates in a systemic, objective and punctual manner putting into execution the maxim of the biopower: "let die". Based on this, the configurations of the categories of life management are problematized, which also intends to reaffirm determinations about the control of death, in order to demonstrate the attribute of sovereignty today in its legitimate exercise of the right to kill through policies of enmity.
