Tem-se como objetivo a análise da noção de natureza em Desubstantiis separatis, c. 9, de Sto. Tomás. O termo “natura†é derivado de “nascor“, nascer. Vincula-se à geração, sustento das coisas. Para os gregos, “natureza†era já uma resposta ao problema do ser. A partir da idéia de Criação, a noção de natureza em Sto. Tomás assume um significado não apenas referente à origem, mas também ao fim. Através do influxo da tradição neoplatônica, examina-se a via da natureza enquanto circulatio, partindo-se de Deus e retornando-se a Deus. A natureza como criatura de Deus é tematizada com base na diferença entre os modelos de predicação: per essentiam e per participationem.
Our objective is to analyze the notion of nature in De substantiis separatis, c. 9, of St. Thomas. The term “natura†is derived from “nascorâ€, to be born. It is linked to generation, the sustenance of things. To the Greek, “nature†was already an answer to the problem of being. Starting from the idea of Creation, the notion of nature in St. Thomas assumes a meaning not only regarding the origin, but also the end. Through the influx of neo-platonic tradition, the way of nature is examined as circulatio, starting from God and returning to God. Nature as God’s creature is a theme based on the difference between the predication models: per essentiam and per participationem.
