O texto faz uma síntese do desenvolvimento do sentimento nativista no Brasil, articulando-o ao antilusitanismo presente já no período colonial. Faz uma breve análise dos principais movimentos nativistas ocorridos no período, demonstrando como não é possível falarmos em um sentimento nativista que abarcasse a nação como um todo, e sim em nativismos regionais nascidos de dinâmicas especificas.

The text makes a synthesis of the development of the nativist feeling in Brazil, articulating it it the present antilusitanism colonial period. It makes one brief analysis of the main nativistas movements occurrences in the period, demonstrating as it is not possible to speak in a nativist feeling that accumulated of stocks the nation as a whole, and yes in been born regional nativisms of specific dynamic.
