From the analysis of a post published on the social network website Facebook, linked to the campaign #MyGameMyName, we aim, in the present article, to understand how the process of subjectification of women gamers takes place. To serve this purpose, we are theoretically based on the pecheuxtian Discourse Analysis. Taking the analysis of significant materiality into account, we can notice that the process of subjectification of those women is crossed by a negation, the negation of the evidence produced by the dominant Discursive Formation about the role of women in the gamer universe. This discursive process pointed to the functioning of symbolic violence in virtual environments that is constituted by the silencing of female voices and the delegitimization of their discourse.
