Este artigo analisa o conto “O convidado”, de Murilo Rubião, atendo-se à especificidade do gênero fantástico na estrutura verbal do autor mineiro; examina, na narrativa que levara 26 anos para ser concluída, temas como: (1) o malogro da escrita, (2) o aspecto cambiante que dá conformação aos planos de expressão do sonho e da realidade, a convergir para a projeção do duplo e da sombra com vistas ao retrato pictórico arraigado no enredo, (3) a representação do jogo, à luz do pensador Johan Huizinga, operando a construção de sentido do texto.
Resumo Inglês:
This article analyses Murilo Rubião’s short-story “O convidado” (The guest), on the prospective of fantastic literature, which is the verbal structure of the author, born in Minas Gerais. On this narrative, that has taken about 26 years to be written, are studied themes as (1) the incompleteness of writing, (2) the metamorphosing process between dream and reality, which leads to the idea of “the double” and “the shadow” based on the portrait presented in the plot, and (3) the representation of the concept of game, as studied by Johan Huizinga, which is related to the construction of the meaning on the text.
