As transformações tecnológicas têm provocado um debate pertinente no que diz respeito ao rádio. A convergência desta mÃdia ao espaço da web, com inclusão de texto e imagem, põe fim a uma caracterÃstica sonora exclusivista que o veÃculo apresentava desde seu surgimento. Na urgência do batismo, compromete-se o entendimento de seu papel. Este artigo reúne opiniões de vários estudiosos sobre o futuro do rádio na era da mundialização e seu papel social dentro e fora da grande rede.

The technological changes have provoked a debate regarding relevant to radio. The convergence of media to the Web space, with the inclusion of text and image, puts an end to a characteristic sound distinctions that had the vehicle since its inception. The urgency of baptism, it undertakes an understanding of their role. This paper brings together views of various scholars on the future of radio in the era of globalization and its social role within and outside the large network.
