O presente estudo tem como objetivos: Analisar a assistência prestada as mulheres no período parturitivo; identificar o tipo de assistência prestada a mulher no período parturitivo. Avaliar o grau de conhecimento das mulheres acerca da violência obstétrica e seus direitos no período parturitivo. Trata-se de um descritivo qualitativo foi realizado em um setor de ginecologia e obstetrícia de um hospital universitário. Utilizou-se um instrumento, composto por perguntas abertas e fechadas enviadas através do formulário do Google Forms. As participantes da pesquisa foram mulheres com idade de 21 a 49 anos que já vivenciaram o gestar e o partejar. Os dados coletados foram organizados e procedeu-se a análise de conteúdo. Foram entrevistadas 12 mulheres, sendo 42% com idade entre 40-49 anos, 50% casadas, 57% se autodeclaram brancas e 50% com ensino superior completo. 75% referem ter conhecimento da temática, porém após análise dos relatos a maioria delas reportaram episódios de violência, tais como: episiotomia não consentida, manobra de kristeller, violência verbal por parte dos profissionais, entre outros. Assim, concui-se que apesar de relatarem serem possuidoras de conhecimento 74% delas foram sim vítimas de um ou mais tipos de violência. Identifica-se a necessidade de mais estudos sobre a temática. This study aims to: Analyze the assistance provided to women during the parturition period; Identify the type of assistance provided to women during the parturition period. Evaluate the degree of knowledge of women about obstetric violence and their rights during the parturition period. This is a qualitative descriptive study carried out in a gynecology and obstetrics sector of a university hospital. An instrument was used, consisting of open and closed questions sent through the Google Forms form. The research participants were women aged from 21 to 49 years old who have already experienced pregnancy and childbirth. The collected data were organized and the content analysis proceeded. Twelve women were interviewed, 42% aged between 40-49 years, 50% married, 57% self-declared white and 50% with complete higher education. 75% reported having knowledge of the topic, but after analyzing the reports, most of them reported episodes of violence, such as: non-consented episiotomy, kristeller maneuver, verbal violence by professionals, among others. Thus, it is concluded that despite reporting having knowledge, 74% of them were victims of one or more types of violence. The need for further studies on the subject is identified.
