O propósito deste texto é o de analisar as poucas passagens da obra de Aristóteles em que ele se detém sobre o problema da morte. Na perspectiva biológica do Estagirita, a morte é compreendida não como a finalidade da vida, mas sim como o seu término, pois o télos da vida, para ele, é o melhor, e não simplesmente aquilo que ocorre em último lugar.
The aim of this paper is to analyze the few passages in Aristotle’s work in witch he investigates the problem of death. From the biological perspective of Aristotle, death is understood not as the finality of life, but as its end, since the télos of life for him is the best and not merely that which happens at the end.
