MEMÓRIAS DE INFÂNCIA: O LUGAR DA MENINA/MULHER EM A FADA MENINA, DE LÚCIA MIGUEL PEREIRA

Tendo em vista a discussão levantada por Lúcia Miguel Pereira nos
romances escritos para adultos sobre a condição social da mulher e o lugar por
ela alcançado ao longo das décadas de 1930, 1940 e 1950, esta leitura propõe
uma breve exegese do livro A fada menina, da mesma autora. Nele, a escritora
materializa seu ponto de vista acerca da literatura para crianças, evidente em
seus artigos de jornais e de revistas, ao mesmo tempo em que empreende,
através de memórias, o lugar da educação e das brincadeiras infantis para a
criação da menina/mulher. Segundo o crítico Antonio Candido (2005), Lúcia
Miguel sempre se preocupou com o papel ocupado pelo gênero feminino no
âmbito social. A questão se torna evidente quando percebemos o modo como a
escritora concebia a representação da menina/mulher em sua narrativa infantil,
aspecto que será demonstrado nessa abordagem.

In view of the discussion raised by Lúcia Miguel Pereira on written
novels for adults on the social status of women and the place they achieved
over the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, this reading proposes a brief exegesis of the
book A Fada menina, by the same author. In this work, the writer embodies her
point of view about literature for children, evident in her articles to newspapers
and magazines and at the same time she undertakes through memories the
place of children's education and games for the upbringing of the girl/woman.
According to the critic Antonio Candido (2005), Lúcia Miguel has always been
concerned with the role played by the female gender in the social sphere. The
question becomes evident when we realize how the writer conceived the
representation of the girl/woman in her children's narrative, aspect that will be
shown in this approach.
