O legado patrimonial de uma nação nem sempre é visto de modo positivo pelos líderes políticos e, a partir disso, quando não há investimento nessa área, ela acaba ficando alheia. A comunidade que luta para preservar sua memória e/ou tradição, se vê desamparada em muitas das vezes, tais como nas incidências de tráfico ilícito de bens culturais, na falta de posicionamento do governo e órgãos especializados a sustentar o tombamento e a necessidade de preservação do patrimônio cultural. Diante disso, o presente artigo parte de uma premissa atemporal e visa reforçar a relevância do patrimônio histórico-cultural enquanto soft power, em nível global, no intuito de elencar os temas identidade, coleção, cultura, memória, tradição, movimento, natureza e simbolismo, de modo a estabelecer pertinentes conexões frente à percepção de que está tudo interligado como uma grande malha constituindo um emaranhado de forças vitais.

A nation's heritage legacy is not always viewed positively by political leaders, and from there, when there is no investment in that area, it ends up unaware. The community that struggles to preserve its memory and/or tradition, finds itself helpless in many cases, such as in the incidences of illicit trafficking in cultural goods, in the lack of positioning of the government and specialized bodies to support the registration and the need to preserve cultural heritage. In view of this, this article starts from a timeless premise and aims to reinforce the relevance of the cultural historical heritage as soft power, at a global level, in order to list the themes identity, collection, culture, memory, tradition, movement, nature and symbolism, in order to establish pertinent connections and extend the perception that everything is interconnected as a great mesh constituting a tangle of vital forces.
