O século XX foi farto de conflitos, sendo nominado como a Era das Catástrofes. Pela necessidade de relembrar o trauma, foi elaborada uma literatura baseada na memória das vítimas denominada Literatura do Testemunho. Esta produção divide-se em duas: uma de origem judaica denominada de Shoah, a partir do advento do nazismo; e, outra latina denominada de Testimonio, muito influenciado pela Júri Prêmio Casa de Las Americas buscando uma perspectiva memorialística da luta. Como resultado da pesquisa, constatamos a falta de diálogo dessas duas correntes, mesmo sendo a memória, o testemunho e a história os principais condutores dessa literatura do testemunho.

The 20th century was full of conflicts, being named as the Age of Catastrophes. Due to the need to remember the trauma, a literature based on the memory of the victims called Literature of the Testimony was created. This production is divided into two: one of Jewish origin called Shoah, from the advent of Nazism; and, another Latin named Testimonio, very influenced by the Jury Prize Casa de Las Americas seeking a memorialistic perspective of the struggle. As a result of the research, we found the lack of dialogue between these two currents, even though memory, testimony and history are the main drivers of this Literature of Testimony.
