This work presents the methodology of derivation of the equations of the azimuthal mean of the incident solar irradiance on surfaces that compose the urban canyons (roofs, walls and roads), exemplified in this work for the irradiance on the roads. The equations were implemented in an urban surface model derived from the Town EnergyBudget (TEB) model. The results obtained in a domodelo sensitivity test, in relation to factors (1) albedo variation and (2) aspect ratio of urban canyons, indicate the relative importance of these factors for the intensity and evolution of the sensible heat flux of the city and the temperature air within the canyons
