Este trabalho é uma tentativa de contribuir com o ensino do pensamento geográfico, buscando subsidiar as reflexões de estudantes ingressos no curso de Geografia. Objetiva-se discutir as correntes filosóficas que influenciaram e influenciam o ensino e a pesquisa em Geografia relacionando-as aos paradigmas e escolas geográficos. Para tanto, considera-se dois momentos. O primeiro detém-se às correntes filosóficas que influenciaram a formação científica da Geografia, destacando o positivismo e o historicismo. O segundo enfatiza as correntes filosóficas que influenciam o ensino e a pesquisa em Geografia, ressaltando-se o positivismo em sua versão renovada, o marxismo e as orientações de base fenomenológica. Por fim, tecem-se rápidas considerações finais e convidam-se os leitores a aprofundarem essa problemática, dentre outros, nos autores constitutivos das referências bibliográficas aqui mencionadas.
This paper is an attempt to contribute to the teaching of geographic thought, trying to subsidize the reflections of students admitted in the course of Geography. This article aims to discuss the philosophical currents that influenced and influence the teaching and research in Geography relating them to paradigms and schools geographical. For both, it is two times. The first holds the philosophical currents that influenced the scientific training of Geography, highlighting the positivism and historicism. The second emphasizes the philosophical currents that influence the teaching and research in Geography, emphasizing the positivism in its renewed version, the marxism and the guidelines of phenomenological basis. Finally, weave-if rapid final considerations and invite the readers to deepen this problem, among others, in the authors constituting the references mentioned here.
