O objetivo deste presente artigo é analisar algumas situações referentes ao comércio exterior envolvendo as cooperativas. O artigo compara a situação atual brasileira com as cinco
maiores cooperativas mundiais (Fonterra, Arla-Foods, Dairy Farmers of América, Campina Melkunie, Friesland Coberco Dairy Foods) e apresenta algumas situações de sucesso
envolvendo cooperativas brasileiras de leite em relação ao comércio mundial do leite. O
artigo, também, apresenta os tipos de entraves (barreiras técnicas etc) que as cooperativas
podem ter durante a sua internacionalização. A chave para internacionalização das cooperativas é apresentada sob a ótica das teorias clássicas da Economia Internacional e sob a
ótica das taxas de câmbio.

Resumo Inglês:

The main objective of this article is to analyze some situations related to the
international trade of some cooperatives. The article compares the actual Brazilian situation
to the five big World Cooperatives (Fonterra, Arla-Foods, Dairy Farmers of America, Campina Melkunie, Friesland Coberco Dairy Foods) and presents some situations made of
success involving some Brazilian milk cooperatives according to the international milk
market. The article also presents the kinds of obstacles (technical barriers etc) which the cooperatives might face during their internalization The key to the internalization for the
cooperatives is shown under the vision of the classical theories of the International
Economics and under the vision of the exchange rates.
