Este estudo de abordagem qualitativa buscou analisar o conhecimento dos alunos jovens e adolescentes sobre as Infecções sexualmente transmissíveis, a qual a pesquisa foi feita com 49 alunos de uma escola pública de Macapá- estado do Amapá. Os alunos discutiam entre si sobre o tema através das palestras feitas com as infecções relacionadas às ISTs. Observa-se que muitos jovens e adolescentes embora não tenham um conhecimento aprofundado sobre as Infecções sexualmente transmissíveis, eles conseguiam identificar o que são e quais os meios de contaminação. Os resultados adquiridos através das percepções dos alunos, mostra quanto é importante ser trabalhado o tema de Infecções sexualmente transmissíveis nas escolas, com intuito de reduzir a vulnerabilidade de jovens infectados.

This study with a qualitative approach sought to analyze the knowledge of young students and adolescents about sexually transmitted infections, which the research was carried out with 49 students from a public school in Macapá- state of Amapá. The students discussed the topic among themselves through lectures given about infections related to STIs. It is observed that many young people and adolescents, although they do not have an in-depth knowledge about sexually transmitted infections, they were able to identify what they are and what are the means of contamination. The results acquired through the students' perceptions, shows how important it is to work on the topic of sexually transmitted infections in schools, in order to reduce the vulnerability of infected young people.
