Este presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar as influências que as músicas de protesto tiveram na época da ditadura no Brasil (1964/1983). A ditadura ficou conhecida como um período de medo e terror, em que diversas manifestações eram caladas pelo regime, diante disso, vê-se necessário conhecer a importância que as músicas de protesto, que eram uma forma de gritar em meio ao silêncio, tiveram nesse período. Tal trabalho é resultado de um estudo aprofundado em diferentes fontes bibliográficas e mostra como a censura atuava no meio artístico, as táticas utilizadas para despistá-la e as consequências das músicas de protesto em meio à ditadura.

This article aims to present the influence that the songs of protest had in the dictatorship period. The dictatorship became known as a period of fear and terror, in which various demonstrations were silenced by the regime, on the face of it, is seen the necessity to know the importance that the songs of protest, which were a way of shouting in the silence, had in that period. This work is the result of a deep study on different bibliographic sources and shows how censorship acted in the middle of the artistic world, the techniques to mislead then, and the consequences of protest songs in the midst of dictatorship.
