IMPLICAÇÕES DA PRESENÇA DO PAI NO DESENVOLVIMENTO EMOCIONAL E NA FORMAÇÃO DE CARÁTER DO FILHO

Diante do crescente numero de divórcios e de famílias compostas somente
por uma parte dos cônjuges, a relevância da presença da figura paterna durante os
primeiros anos de desenvolvimento infantil tem sido contestada nos meios
acadêmicos e sociais. Até que ponto a ausência tem sido prejudicial para a formação
do caráter e do desenvolvimento emocional do filho? O objetivo deste estudo é o de
examinar e buscar respostas através de pesquisas, quais são as típicas conseqüências
emocionais e comportamentais, que serão marcantes nesta criança quando alcançar a
idade adulta. Nesta pesquisa, foi feita uma análise sobre o sentido da família, da
relevância da afetividade paterna, foi feito, também, um estudo sobre os diversos
modelos de paternidades, e de uma parte mais prática, onde são apresentados as
típicas implicações e seqüelas causadas por esta ausência.

Resumo Inglês:

In view of the growing number of divorces and of single parent's families, the
relevance of the presence of the father in the first years of the life of a child has being
a contested issue in the academic field. To which point his absence has a negative
impact in the development of the character of a child and on his emotions? Are there
any emotional or behavioral consequences? The objective of this study is to examine
the issue and look for answers to these questions. This research analyzed the meaning
of family, and the relevance of fatherly affectivity. It also investigated the diverse
models of fatherhood, and, in a practical side, where may occur sequels and the
negative results of its absence.
