O objetivo da presente pesquisa é analisar os impactos sentidos pelas comunidades tradicionais que vivenciaram a entrada da mineração na Amazônia, especificamente no Lago Grande Juruti Velho, região Oeste do Estado do Pará no Baixo-Amazonas, pela perspectiva de mulheres residentes na região. No âmbito da História Social, a pesquisa adentra nas vivências, experiências e modos de vida de sujeitos sociais afetados por esta atividade econômica. Para tanto, a metodologia empregada foi a História Oral, utilizada através de entrevistas com as trabalhadoras e moradoras das comunidades. Ao atribuírem significados às suas memórias, suas narrativas orais evidenciam diversas problemáticas presentes em seus contextos de vida desde a chegada da empresa.
The objective of this research is to analyze the impacts felt by traditional communities that experienced the entry of mining into the Amazon, specifically in Lake Grande Juruti Velho, in the western region of the State of Pará in the Lower Amazon, from the perspective of women living in the region. In the context of Social History, the research enters into the experiences, experiences and ways of life of social subjects affected by this economic activity. For that, the methodology used was the Oral History, used through interviews with the workers and residents of the communities. By attributing meanings to their memories, their oral narratives reveal several issues present in their life contexts since the company's arrival.
