Este artigo busca esclarecer e discutir alguns aspectos relacionados às três modalidades historiográficas que lidam mais diretamente com os aspectos materiais e vitais da Sociedade: a História Demográfica, a História da Cultura Material e a Geo-História. O artigo remete a obra recentemente publicada pelo autor deste texto, cujo principal objetivo é o de elaborar uma visão panorâmica das diversas modalidades da História nos dias de hoje.

This article attempts to clarify and discuss some aspects related to the three historiographic modalities which works most directly with the materials and vital aspects of a Human Society: the Demographic History, the History of Material Culture and the Geo-History. The article refers to a recently publicized work of the author of this text, witch principal subject was to elaborate a panoramic view of the various fields in which ones the historical knowledge is divided nowadays.
