Gênero, patriarcado, educação e os parâmetros curriculares nacionais

Resumo Português:

Este artigo tem por objetivo discutir a relação
entre gênero e a educação, e como este tema é apresentado
nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais. Inicialmente, discute-
se o por quê da ausência da temática de gênero no
currículo dos cursos de formação de professores. Para tanto,
o conceito de gênero e o de patriarcado, como também,
o papel reprodutor da instituição são apresentados. Em seguida,
é feita uma breve revisão bibliográfica visando esclarecer
o conceito de gênero, situando-o a partir de um
quadro teórico-metodológico articulado com as questões
de classe e raça/etnia, com as quais se encontra enovelado.
Paralelamente, discute-se a construção da categoria
patriarcado, como a forma pela qual, historicamente, o
gênero é vivenciado. Finalmente, abre-se para o debate das
questões de gênero e o papel reprodutivo da instituição escolar
a partir da maneira parcial, secundária e lacunar em
que aparece no tema transversal Orientação Sexual, nos
Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais.

Resumo Inglês:

This article aims at discussing the relation
between gender and education as well as how this subject
is presented in the National Curriculum Parameters. We
intend to start a discussion on the reasons why the theme
gender is absent from the curriculum of teaching courses.
Thus, we discuss the gender and patriarchy concepts and
the reproductive role of the scholar institution. A brief
bibliographical survey will be carried out in order to clarify
the concept of gender, contextualizing it through a
theoretical-methodological frame articulated with the class
and racial/ethnic aspects with which gender is gathered
into a rank. Parallelly, we will discuss the construction of
the patriarchy category, as the way how gender is
historically experienced. Finally, a debate about the gender
questions and the reproductive role of the scholar institution
is opened through the partial, secondary, and lacunal way
the transversal theme of the Sexual Orientation appears in
the National Curriculum Parameters (Parâmetros
Curriculares Nacionais – PCN, in Portuguese).
