Trata-se de problematizar as noções de soberania infame e de vida infame, respectivamente no curso Les anormaux e no texto La vie des hommens infâmes, passando pela análise da raridade do discurso, da mecânica grotesca do poder, da noção de infâmia. O objetivo é demonstrar, a partir da análise da noção de soberania infame e vida infame, de que modo o saber e o poder tornam o exercÃcio do poder, a partir do século XVIII, inevitável.

It is to problematize the notions of sovereignty infamous and infamous life, respectively in the course Les anormaux and text La vie des hommens infamous, through analysis of the rarity of the speech, the grotesque mechanical power, the notion of infamy. The objective is to demonstrate, through the analysis of the notion of infamous sovereignty and the infamous life, how knowledge and power make the exercise of power, from the eighteenth century, inevitable.
