O presente trabalho traz a problemática da Filosofia da Educação em diferentes
perspectivas, partindo do seu conhecido propósito de realizar a reflexão sobre os problemas
educacionais, discussão que apresenta na sua primeira parte. Em seguida, detém-se no
movimento de constituição da disciplina Filosofia da Educação trazendo alguns dados
importantes da esfera internacional e brasileira, algumas situações problemáticas que
precisou enfrentar nesse percurso para, finalmente, iniciar um processo de formação de sua
identidade e de reconhecimento até os nossos dias. A parte seguinte do texto oferece alguns
subsídios sobre a intrincada relação entre a Filosofia e a Educação, as contribuições e
limitações que ambas oferecem-se mutuamente. Ao final do texto são pontuadas outras
contribuições que a Filosofia pode oferecer à Educação, procurando-se formular uma
análise de mão dupla, a saber, aquela que considera o trânsito que o inquieto filósofo da
educação deve realizar, não se acastelando junto a verdades nem a pressuposições tidas
como superiores e enaltecedoras de quem só deseja a obediência e instiga a pedantocracia
justamente por causa disso. O texto foi construído sob a égide de uma gama de idéias
oriundas de uma bibliografia de referência e de pluralidade no que concerne à vinculação a
diferentes escolas filosóficas. O intuito dessa opção foi o de incitar ainda mais o debate
sobre as relações tão instigantes e fecundas dessas duas importantes áreas para o
desenvolvimento humano e social.

Resumo Inglês:

The present work brings the problematic of Philosophy of Education under different
perspectives, starting from its known objective of accomplishing the reflection of educational problems, which discussion it presents in the first session. Afterward, it gives
attention to the movement of constitution of the discipline Philosophy of Education by
bringing some important data from international as well as Brazilian sphere, some
problematic situations that it needed to cope in order to, finally, initiate a process of
constitution of its identity and of its recognition up to these days. The following part of the
text offers some information on the intricate relation between Philosophy and Education,
the contributions and limitations that both disciplines offer to each other. Finally, it was
pointed out other contributions that Philosophy can offer to Education, searching to
formulate a two way analysis, i. e., the one that consider the transit that the uneasy
philosopher of education should accomplish, don’t be hidden himself behind, attached to
the Truth neither to the presuppositions taken as superior and as the one which exalt those
that only desire the submission, instigating the model of the conceited persons, just because
of these factors. The text was constructed under the sponsorship of a range of ideas that
were deriving from a respectful and diverse bibliography which was entailed to the
different philosophical schools. The objective of this option was to even more incite the
debate on the relations, so instigate and profitable, of these two important areas for the
human and social development.
