Alfred Radcliffe-Brown preconiza “leis gerais” para compreender as sociedades. Franz Boas, munido do conceito de cultura, se detém exclusivamente à microrrealidade em estudo, como se a cultura fosse um fato em si. Destarte, esse texto argumenta sobre a necessidade de frentes de investigações na Educação Físic a escolar que levem em consideração as nuances dos dados que podem se apresentar em diferentes realidades conduzidas por meio da abordagem qualitativa. Em especial, este texto sugere reflexões sobre novas pesquisas que considerem as aparentes tensões entre aspectos “universais” e “singulares” dos dados presentes nos estudos principalmente de caráter antropológico. Desse modo, o presente ensaio objetiv a apresentar as possíveis contribuições teóricas dos pensamentos de Alfred Radcliffe-Brown e de Franz Boas especificamente para os estudos comparativos em Educação Física escolar.
Alfred Radcliffe-Brown indicates “general laws” to understand the societies. Franz Boas, using the concept of culture, utilize exclusively the study of the micro reality, as if the culture was a fact in itself. Thus, this text argues about the necessity of others investigations in the school Physical Education that take account of the modifications of the datas which present itself in different realities conducted by means of the qualitative approach. In particular, this text suggests reflections on new researches that considersthe visible tensions between “universal” and “singular” aspects of the datas that permeate the studies in an anthropological way. So,this study will present the possible theoretical contributions of the thoughts of Alfred Radcliffe Brown and Franz Boas specifically to comparative studies in the school Physical Education.
