Resumo Português:

O presente artigo traz alguns resultados da pesquisa realizada
por Leite (2010). Um dos objetivos dessa pesquisa foi
investigar as atitudes linguísticas de campineiros em relação à
pronúncia do /R/ caipira. Neste artigo, com base em alguns
depoimentos de informantes campineiros, apresenta-se uma
reflexão acerca da estreita relação entre atitudes linguísticas,
estereótipos sociais e variação linguística.

This article presents some results of research conducted by Leite (2010).
One of the objectives of this study was to investigate the language attitudes of native inhabitants of Campinas in relation to the pronunciation
of caipira / R /. This paper, considering data collected from native
inhabitants of Campinas, presents a reflection on the close relationship
between language attitudes, social stereotypes and linguistic variation.
