Este estudo aborda a obra Esta pobrecita tierra(2020), de autoria da poeta chilena Juany Rojas, que, na forma de poemas ordenados em sequência, compondo um viés narrativo-testemunhal implícito, relata um acontecimento de forte impacto social vivido pelo povo chileno: o terremoto seguido de tsunamis ocorrido na região do Maule em fevereiro de 2010. A leitura crítica proposta estabelecerá relações entre a obra e o gênero épico, com o objetivo de demonstrar como história, mito e heroísmo se fazem presenças épicas estruturantes, no sentido de dar realce ao epos chileno. Metodologicamente, este estudo dialoga com o trabalho de conclusão de curso Para além da catástrofe: um abalo épico na obra Esta pobrecita tierra, de Allana Santan Souza (2024) e trazLeiva e Quintana (2010), Contreras e Winkcler (2013), entre outros, como referências ao episódio em foco; enquanto Santos (2021), Silva e Ramalho (2022) e Goyet (2023) se configuram como as bases principais para o recorte épico. A abordagem épica evidenciará, ao final, que, ao enfatizar as ações coletivas do povo chileno no enfrentamento de uma grande adversidade, o poema de Rojas transforma o que seria trágico em conquista épica. Espera-se, assim, contribuir para a divulgação da literatura e da cultura chilenas, representadas por Rojas e Esta pobrecita tierra.
This study addresses the work Esta pobrecita tierra(2020), written by Chilean poet Juany Rojas, which, in the form of poems arranged in sequence, composing an narrative-testimonial narrative, recounts an event of strong social impact experienced by the Chilean people: the earthquake followed by tsunamis that occurred in the Maule region in February 2010. The proposed critical reading will establish relationships between the work and the epic genre, with the aim of demonstrating how history, myth and heroism become structuring epic presences, in the sense of highlighting the Chilean epos, which, among others, is configured by the collective confrontation of tragic natural phenomena that are recurring in the country. Methodologically, this study dialogues with the final course work Beyond the catastrophe: an epic shock in the work Esta pobrecita tierra, by author 1 (2024) and brings Leiva and Quintana (2010), Contreras and Winkcler (2013), among others, as references to the episode in focus; while Santos (2021), Silva and author 2 (2022) and Goyet (2023) are configured as the main bases for the epic cut. It is hoped that this study will contribute to the dissemination of Chilean literature and culture, represented by Rojas and Esta pobrecita tierra.
