A analise de construção de uma politica cultural cinematográfica, desenvolvida a partir de 1974, tem como referencia o filme O amuleto de Ogum, de Nelson Pereira dos Santos, considerado o marco inaugural de uma nova relação estabelecida entre o Estado autoritário e intelectuais ligados ao movimento conhecido como Cinema Novo. Serão levados em conta diversos elementos constituintes e convergentes dessa politica cultural e politica cultural de cinema, como a proposta cultural e politica desses intelectuais, as necessidades do Estado autoritário, construÃdo a partir de 1964 (envolvido, nesse momento, num projeto de redemocratização) e a tentativa de conquista do mercado cinematográfico nacional, dominado em boa parte pelo produto de origem hollywoodiana.
The analysis of the construction of a cinematographic cultural policy, developed from 1974, has as reference the film The Amulet of Ogum, by Nelson Pereira dos Santos, considered the inaugural landmark of a new relationship established between the authoritarian state and intellectuals linked to the movement Known as Cinema Novo.
