O objetivo deste estudo foi testar os efeitos da coloração do tegumento, temperatura e luz na germinação de sementes de Sebastiania commersoniana, espécie florestal arbórea. Conclusões: a) em qualquer das condições testadas: luz e cor do tegumento das sementes, a temperatura de 20-30°C foi superior estatisticamente à de 25°C; b) na temperatura de 25°C a germinação das sementes foi significativamente superior na presença de luz, enquanto que à 20-30°C a germinação destas é indiferente à presença de luz e c) as sementes com estrias apresentaram maior germinação em relação às escuras à 20-30°C; a 25°C não houve efeito significativo da coloração das sementes.
The aim of this study was to test the effects of tegument color, temperature and light on the germination of Sebastiania commersoniana seeds, a forest tree species. Conclusions: a) in any of the conditions tested: light and color of the seed coat, the temperature of 20-30°C was statistically higher than that of 25°C; b) at 25°C the seed germination was significantly higher in the presence of light, while at 20-30°C their germination is indifferent to the presence of light and c) the streaked seeds showed higher germination compared to the dark ones at 20-30°C; at 25°C there was no significant effect of seed color.
