EDUCAÇÃO POPULAR E AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR: UMA ANÁLISE SOBRE A IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DO PROGRAMA PROJOVEM CAMPO NA BAIXADA CUIABANA - MT

Nas últimas décadas, as zonas rurais do estado têm sofrido grandes transformações, a urbanização e o avanço da agricultura moderna sobre áreas historicamente ocupadas por populações tradicionais, tem levado à perda ou abandono da agrobiodiversidade criada e mantida por agricultores locais durante várias gerações. A partir da importância do Território da Baixa Cuiabana na formação histórica e cultural da população matogrossense, o estudo busca analisar de que forma o programa Projovem Campo Saberes da Terra contribui para o fortalecimento da agricultura familiar na região da Baixada Cuiabana. O estudo foi realizado com base em pesquisas bibliográficas, entrevistas com responsável técnico pela implantação do programa em Mato Grosso e professores e coordenadores do projeto em municipios da Baixada Cuiabana: Jangada, Poconé e Várzea Grande - MT. A pesquisa aborda a agricultura familiar enquanto categoria social e o programa de escolarização oferecido aos agricultores será analisado a partir da perspectiva teórico-metodológica da Educação popular. A educação do campo promove o fortalecimento da agricultura familiar, incentivando a qualificação e a oportunidade de escolha dos jovens em permanecer no campo; além disso, fomenta a produção na agricultura familiar, que é o grande fornecedor de alimentos do mercado. É uma forma de ampliar o acesso à educação e trabalho e garantir a reciprocidade entre produção e consumo nas relações campo e cidade.

In recent decades, rural areas of the state have incurred as large changes, urbanization and the spread of modern agriculture on areas historically occupied by traditional populations has led to the loss or abandonment of agrobiodiversity created and maintained by local farmers for several generations. Due the importance of the Cuiabana Baixada Territory to the historical formation and cultural population of Mato Grosso, the study seeks to examine how the program Rural Projovem Knowledge of the Earth contributes to the strengthening of family farming in Baixada Cuiabana. The study was based on literature searches, interviews with technical responsible for implementing the program in Mato Grosso and teachers and project coordinators in Baixada Cuiabana municipalities: Jangada, Poconé e Várzea Grande - MT. The research approachs the family farming as a social category and education program offered to farmers will be analyzed from the theoretical and methodological perspective of popular education. The rural education promotes the strengthening of family agriculture, encouraging the qualification of choice and opportunity for young people to stay on the field, in addition, promotes the production on family farming, which is the major supplier of food market. It is a way to expand access to education and employment and ensure reciprocity between production and consumption relations field and city.
