O caráter da educação na Constituição Federal de 1988 está vinculado ao pleno desenvolvimento da pessoa, a sua preparação para o exercÃcio da cidadania e a sua qualificação para o mercado de trabalho. Neste propósito, a educação deve ser objeto de um reconhecimento não só relacionado a um direito individual, mas também coletivo e como tal carrega peculiaridades e particularidades fundadas na cultura e tradição negra. O Objetivo de presente artigo é analisar a Lei nº. 10.639 que tornou obrigatório o ensino de História e Cultura Afro-brasileiras nos estabelecimentos de ensino oficiais e particulares, a ser contemplado o reconhecimento de uma matriz de estudos da História da Ãfrica e dos Africanos. Demonstrando a contribuição e luta dos negros no Brasil, sua cultura e a participação efetiva na formação da sociedade Brasileira. Relevantes são as suas contribuições polÃticas, econômicas, culturais, religiosas pertinentes à História do Brasil. Nesse sentido, a Faculdade de Castanhal –
FCAT vem promovendo desde o ano de 2012 projeto de extensão junto à Comunidade de Macapazinho, localizada no municÃpio de Santa Isabel do Pará.

Education's carachter in 1988 Federal Constitution is attached to the person's full development, you preparation to the exercise of citizenship and your qualification to workmarket. By this aim education must be object of a recognization not only related to an individual right but also a colective one and as so carries peculiarities and particularities based on black culture and tradition. The present paper aims to analyse the law n. 10.639 that made mandatory the teaching of african-brazilian history and culture in either oficial or private teaching stablishments, to be contemplated the aknowledgement of a studies matrix of Africa and africans history. Demonstrating the contribution and fight of black people in Brazil, their culture and effective participation
in brazilian society formation. Relevant are their political, economic, religious and cultural contributions to Brazil's history. In that way, Faculdade de Castanhal - FCAT has been promoting since the year of 2012 an extension project with the Community of Macapazinho located in Santa Isabel Do Pará.
