O artigo aborda as mudanças recentes, sob a inspiração do neoliberalismo, em relação ao Estado capitalista. Destaca as privatizações, com a entrega ao grande capital da produção e distribuição de bens e serviços essenciais à vida das pessoas. Analisa, criticamente, o surgimento, a partir dos anos 80 do século XX, do Estado regulador, com a defesa da concorrência sendo entregue a agências ou autoridades de defesa da concorrência. Conclui que os ultraliberais de ontem defendem hoje que o Estado capitalista mude de máscara mais uma vez, intervindo na economia para tentar manter tudo na mesma, e que o sucedâneo de capitalismo em que se socializam perdas e se privatizam lucros está condenado ao fracasso. Por fim, apesar de não faltarem razões para deitar fora os catecismos neoliberais, o neoliberalismo não saiu de cena, com os governantes de plantão desconhecendo outra cartilha, cumprindo observar que os povos organizados podem acelerar o movimento da história e fazer a própria história.
The article discusses the recent changes, under the inspiration of neoliberalism, against the capitalist state. Emphasizes privatization, with the delivery of big capital in production and distribution of goods and services essential to people's lives. Examines critically the rise, from the 80 of the XX century, the state regulator, with the antitrust agencies or being delivered to the antitrust authorities. It concludes that the ultra-call today from yesterday that the capitalist state change mask once again intervened in the economy to try to keep everything the same, and that the ersatz capitalism in which they socialize losses and privatize profits is doomed to failure. Finally, although here and there reasons to throw out the catechism, neoliberal, neoliberalism has not left the scene, with the rulers of duty knowing another primer, serving notice that organized people can accelerate the movement of history and make their own history.
