Através de seu caminho biográfico Martin Heidegger vivenciou o enraizamento no movimento cristão e também a crise do cristianismo histórico. Sua tarefa de desenvolver o pensar historial do Ser pode ser compreendida como a necessidade de se pensar criticamente as relações entre o cristianismo e o agenciamento do poder em suas múltiplas realizações. Pode-se reconhecer uma correspondência entre a estrutura originária da fé cristã e a estrutura do pensar historial do Ser.

Through his biographic path, Martin Heidegger has lived both the entrenchment in the Christian movement and the crisis of historic Christianity. His task of developing a historical thinking of being can be comprehended as the need of thinking critically the relationship between Christianity and the agency of power in its many realizations. One may recognize a correspondence between the structure of original Christian faith and the structure of the history thinking of being.
