No presente trabalho defende-se que a orientação sexual constitui âmbito de proteção integral prevista na normativa internacional dos direitos humanos da criança, o que impõe ao Estado e à sociedade o desenvolvimento de ações e políticas que tenham por objetivo promover discussões sobre diversidade sexual e direitos sexuais como mecanismo de prevenção e enfrentamento às violências dessa natureza.
In the present study, it is argued that sexual orientation constitutes an integral protection’s scope foreseen in the international norm about the human rights of the child, which imposes to the state and the society the development of actions and policies with the objective to promote discussions about sexual diversity and sexual rights as a mechanism of prevention and confrontation to violences of this nature.
