O presente artigo resulta de uma participação em uma mesa redonda na Universidade Federal de Roraima, no I Encontro Estadual de História da ANPUH e a X Semana de História da UFRR em 2018, com o tema Educação e diversidade. Nesta ocasião, foi apresentada uma experiência como docente de História e doutorando em Sociologia da Educação na Universidade de São Paulo (USP) no Programa de Educação, descrevendo o que ocorre no Instituto Federal de Roraima (IFRR), Câmpus Amajari, no qual, conjuntamente com outros docentes, há esforços para incluir aspectos das comunidades originárias locais nos componentes curriculares das disciplinas de Português, História, Sociologia, Biologia e disciplinas técnicas na área de Zootecnia, tendo como objetivo valorizar a diversidade cultural da região. Esse projeto foi contemplado com uma bolsa do INOVA (Programa Institucional de Fomento a Projetos de Práticas Pedagógicas Inovadoras).
This article results the participation in a round table discussion at the Federal University of Roraima, in the First State Meeting of History at ANPUH at the X Week of History of UFRR in 2018, with the theme: Education and diversity. At this occasion, were presented an experience how an History teacher and PhD student in Sociology of Education at the University of São Paulo (USP) in the Education Program, describing what happens at the Federal Institute of Roraima (IFRR), Câmpus Amajari, in which, jointly with other teachers, there are efforts to include aspects of the local communities in the curricular components of the subjects of Portuguese, History, Sociology, Biology and technical subjects in the area of Animal Science, aiming to value the cultural diversity of the region. This project was awarded with a grant from called INOVA (Institutional Program for the Promotion of Projects of Innovative Pedagogical Practices).
