O presente artigo tem o objetivo de analisar a relação dos temas dos direitos humanos e da moradia, apresentando o cenário das ciências sociais aplicado como ambiente profícuo para sua construção. Para tanto, identifica a questão do direito à moradia como direito social, reconhecendo a importante relação com o Projeto éticopolítico-profissional do Serviço Social. A intenção é produzir uma escrita que elimine problematizações acerca do tema. Assim, são apresentadas as lutas sociais no Brasil para a efetivação do direito à moradia, bem como, os acordos e as legislações internacionais deste direito enquanto direito humano. Expõe, ainda, a implicação do Serviço Social e do Projeto Ético-Político no compromisso critico com a defesa do direito à moradia como direito social e humano. Por fim, considera o direito à moradia como direito absoluto na constituição brasileira, mas que sofre condicionamento frente ao direito à propriedade. Tal questão desafia a profissão a enfrentar os processos de segregação e desigualdade socioambiental que sofre a população trabalhadora no que se refere à exploração da terra e do território.

This article aims to analyze the relationship between human rights and housing issues, presenting the social sciences applied as a productive environment for their construction. To this end, it identifies the issue of the right to housing as a social right, recognizing the important relationship with the Ethical-political-professional Project of Social Work. The intention is to produce a writing that instigates problematizations about the theme. For this, the social struggles in Brazil are presented for the realization of the right to housing as well as international agreements and legislation of this right as a human right. It presents the implication of the Social Service and the Ethical-Political Project in the critical commitment to the defense of the right to housing as a social and human right. Finally, it considers the right to housing as an absolute right in the Brazilian constitution, but which is conditioned by the right to property. This question challenges the profession to face the processes of segregation and socio-environmental inequality suffered by the working population in the exploitation of land and territory.
