Dificuldades de aprendizagem matemática: algumas reflexões

Resumo Português:

Este artigo tem o objetivo de retratar o que algumas pesquisas atuais – registradas em artigos e livros – abordam sobre a dificuldade de aprendizagem matemática. Pretende-se refletir sobre o ensino e a aprendizagem da Matemática analisando alguns aspectos que têm sido apontados, especialmente sobre as dificuldades de aprendizagem que alguns alunos apresentam no âmbito da Matemática. Foi utilizada a abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa com procedimentos de análise documental. Em princípio foi abordado o significado da palavra dificuldade, transitando pelas dificuldades de aprendizagem e pelas dificuldades de aprendizagem matemática. As pesquisas mais recentes apontam para a urgência de uma reformulação do ensino de Matemática de natureza didática e um amadurecimento de toda a comunidade escolar, independentemente do nível de ensino, no que diz respeito às dificuldades de aprendizagem.

The purpose of the present paper is to show how some current researches – published in papers and books – approach the difficulties in Mathematics learning. We intend to reflect on teaching and learning Mathematics by analysing some aspects that have been pointed out, especially about learning difficulties some students have in Mathematics area. We used the research qualitative approach with procedures of document analysis. At first, we described the meaning of the word ‘difficulty’, passing through learning difficulties and learning difficulties in Mathematics. The latest researches point the urgent need of a didactic overhaul in Mathematics teaching and maturation of all school communitiy, regardless the teaching level, concerning learning difficulties.Keywords: Mathematics Education.
