DESDOBRAMENTOS DO KÜNSTLERROMAN EM ANGÚSTIA, DE GRACILIANO RAMOS

O presente artigo busca vincular o romance Angústia (1936), de Graciliano Ramos, ao Künstlerroman (ou romance de artista), a fim de analisá-lo mediante conceitos oriundos do arcabouço teórico sobre o referido gênero, quais sejam: o caráter poetológico da narrativa autoreflexiva, a representação crítica de conjunturas históricas e socioculturais em seu complexo temático, o autoquestionamento artístico e da própria linguagem literária, bem como as atribulações identitárias do artista representadas por meio de sua problemática ubicação social. Assim, tentar-se-á lançar luz sobre o modo com que o autor alagoano reflete criticamente o papel do artista na sociedade, problematiza o labor literário dentro do próprio romance, e põe a literatura em questão. Além disso, será proposta uma possibilidade de leitura para o terceiro romance de Graciliano Ramos, cujo interesse se pauta na aplicação de concepções inerentes ao Künstlerroman, gênero este relativamente ignorado pela crítica literária brasileira.

This article aims to link the novel Angústia (1936), by Graciliano Ramos, with the Künstlerroman (or artist novel), in order to analyze it using concepts from the theoretical framework about the named genre, for instance: the poetical character of an auto reflexive narrative, the critical representation of historical and socio and cultural processes in its thematic sphere, the self-questioning of art and literary language, as well as the afflictions of the artist caused by identity matters, portrayed through his problematic social placement. Thus, this may be an attempt to reveal the fashion of the author reflects to the role-play of the artist in the society, problematizes the literary work within the novel and puts the literature in question. In addition , it will propose a possibility of reading for Angústia, whose interest is guided in the application of concepts inherent to Künstlerroman, a gender that is relatively ignored by the Brazilian literary criticism.
