O presente estudo aborda as criptomoe das à luz da globalização, assim como seu enqua dramento ante o direito pátrio,especialmente o Código de Defesa do Consumidor. A escolha do tema sejustifica pela forma atual da utilização de criptomoedas, como alternativa às moedas ofi ciais,e o impacto disso em termos de segurança jurídica. Tem-se como objetivo esclarecer o papel das criptomoedas no cenário globalizado, em paralelo ao tratamento que estes ativos devem receber pela legislação consumerista.
Resumo Inglês:
The present study dealt with the cryp tocurrencies in the light of globalization, as well as its framework in relation to the country's law and the Code of Consumer Protection. The choice of theme isjustified by the current use of cryp tocoins, as an alternative to official currencies, and their impact in terms of legal certainty. The objective is to clarify the role of cryptocoins in the globalized scenario, in parallel to the treat- ment that these assets must receive under con- sumer legislation.
