A pesquisa procura analisar se o website da FAZU – Faculdades Associadas de Uberaba, com o atual design
gráfico e distribuições das informações, atende às necessidades e o comportamento dos usuários internos. A pesquisa tem
como objetivo avaliar e analisar as contribuições da usabilidade e ergonomia cognitiva para a melhoria de processos e
procedimentos do site da FAZU. A partir dos objetivos elenca-se a problematização da possibilidade de aumentar a
abrangência, a facilidade de uso e o poder de atração do site da FAZU. As hipóteses estão centradas se a reestruturação do
website da FAZU será um ponto facilitador na comunicação interna e externa e se as mudanças a serem implementadas
contribuirão para melhorias na imagem do website tornando-o um elemento atrativo, amigável proporcionando
confiabilidade nos usuários e fortalecimento desse mecanismo de comunicação Institucional. As composições dos dados
quantitativos recebem tratamento estatístico por meio de gráficos e os qualitativos por meio de análise descritiva. A
pesquisa é de cunho exploratório-bibliográfico, descritiva e explicativa, por meio de um estudo de caso. O método de
abordagem é o hipotético-dedutivo e o de procedimento monográfico e comparativo. Para coletar as análises e sugestões
utilizou-se um questionário semi-estruturado, distribuído a 42 (quarenta e dois) usuários do website da Faculdade. A partir
das análises dos resultados obtidos através dos questionários constatou-se que as mudanças propostas no estudo são
viáveis, atendem as necessidades dos usuários e contribuem para o fortalecimento da comunicação, processos e
procedimentos na Instituição tanto internamente quanto para a comunidade. As modificações propostas na pesquisa foram
aprovadas pela direção da instituição em dezembro de 2008 e começaram a ser implementadas a partir de janeiro de 2009.



Resumo Inglês:

This research has as main objective to evaluate and analyse the contribuitions of usability and cognitive
ergonomics to the improvement of the processes and procedures of the FAZU site. From the goals, the problem arises to
see how is it possible to enlarge the covered area, the easy use and the power of the attraction of the FAZU site? The
hypotheses are focused on if the re-structuration of the FAZU website will be a facilitator both in the inside and outside
communication and if the changes to be implemented will contribute to the improvement of the website image becoming
an attractive, friendly element showing reliability on the users and strengthening the institutional image. The research is
bibliographical-exploratory, descriptive and explanatory, through case study. The approaching method is deductivehypothetical
and the procedure is monographic and comparative. To colect the analyses and suggestions a semi-structured
questionnaire is ued , given to 42 (forty-two) college website users. At the end of the research an analysis of sixty-one
main screens of the website is presented, analysing basically the major factors that interfere in search of information by
users and suggesting ways of those screens more attractive, functional, interactive and dynamic. The other chapters show a
brief review of FAZU, Communication, Ergonomics, Techonolgy Advances and the last one the importance of knowing
the user: a fundamental lesson.Through out the analyses results, gotten by the questionnaires and the analysis of the mains
website screens, it is reported that the changes in the study are viable, meet the users’ necessities and contribute to the
strengthening of the communication, processes and procedures in the Institution both inside and to the community.The
modifications proposed in the research were approved by the direction of the Institution in December of 2008 and started
to be implemented in January of 2009.
