O trabalho tem como objetivo a análise da problemática feminista na década de 1920 no contexto
brasileiro e gaúcho, enfatizando o discurso proferido em artigos do periódico “O Tempoâ€, da
cidade de Rio Grande – RS, veiculado nos anos de 1906 a 1960, fundado por AlÃpio Cadaval - e
investigar as construções históricas no que concerne a emergência e irrefutabilidade do
movimento feminista no Brasil ou ainda a conformidade do contingente feminino em relação ao
status quo vigente no perÃodo, cuja permanência negaria a existência do segundo sexo em
distintos campos de poder e influência na sociedade da urbe brasileira no perÃodo denominado de
“anos loucosâ€.
The objective of this study it to analyze the feminist issues in the 1920s in the Brazilian and
Gaucho context (context of Brazil and Rio Grande do Sul), emphasizing the speech of the articles
of the newspaper ‘O Tempo’, from the city of Rio Grande – RS, published in the years of 1906 to 1960; and founded by AlÃpio Cadaval. It also aims to investigate the historical building
concerning emergency and cogency of the feminist movement in Brazil; the compliance of the
feminine contingent regarding the status quo of the period, whose permanence would deny the
existence of the second sex in several fields of power and influence of Brazilian urban society, in
the period called ‘roaring twenties’.
