O estudo apresentado neste artigo visou analisar as competências do contador gerencial estipuladas pelo Institute Of Management Accountants (IMA) que têm sido demandas pelo mercado brasileiro. A pesquisa, que pode ser classificada como documental, descritiva e quantitativa, empregou dados de empresas que se utilizam do site de recrutamento e seleção Catho. As vagas das empresas foram analisadas por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo. Neste caso, foram empregados como categorias aquelas citadas pelo IMA como domínios e competências. Constatou-se, a partir da amostra de vagas coletadas, que as características predominantes para o mercado de trabalho, quando se trata do o exercício da contabilidade gerencial, estão relacionadas essencialmente às competências de “Gestão e Análise de dados” Em números absolutos, dentre os domínios, o mais citado foi o de “Relatório e Controles”. Por outro lado, o domínio “Planejamento estratégico e Desempenho” foi o menos citado. Observou-se que apenas 33% dos anúncios da amostra exigiam graduação específica em Contabilidade, sendo que um número ainda menor exigia registro ativo no Conselho Regional de Contabilidade (CRC). Em relação aos requisitos, o inglês foi o idioma mais solicitado e o Pacote Office foi demandado em aproximadamente 50% das vagas (sendo o Microsoft Excel, o principal). Dentre os benefícios citados, destacam-se a assistência saúde, o vale transporte e o vale refeição em detrimento da PLR. Por fim, o salário médio apurado foi de R$7.727,27.

The study presented in this paper aimed to analyze the skills of the management accountant, stipulated by the Institute Of Management Accountants (IMA), which have been demanded by the Brazilian market. The research, which can be classified as documentary, descriptive and quantitative, used data from companies that use the Catho recruitment and selection website to cover the marketing perspective. The companies' vacancies were analyzed using the content analysis technique. In this case, those cited by the IMA as domains and competencies were used as categories. It was found, from the sample of vacancies collected, that the predominant characteristics for the job market, when it comes to the exercise of management accounting, are essentially related to the skills of “Management and Data Analysis” In absolute numbers, among domains, the most cited was “Report and Controls”. On the other hand, the domain “Strategic Planning and Performance” was the least mentioned. It was observed that only 33% of the advertisements in the sample required a specific degree in Accounting, with an even smaller number requiring registration with an active CRC. Regarding requirements, English was the most requested language and the Office Package was required in approximately 50% of vacancies (Microsoft Excel being the main one). Among the benefits mentioned, health assistance, transportation vouchers and meal vouchers stand out at the expense of PLR. Finally, the average salary calculated was R$7,727.27.
