A amostra

The objective of this research was to investigate the correlation between the main test of strength for the
upper limbs, anthropometric measurements and body mass. As a result, there was predictive models for
tests of BD, BE, PM. The study population was composed by 150 men and 94 women. The following
anthropometric measurements were assessed: body weight, height, girth of waist, hip, forearm, neck
relaxed and contracted in both arms. These neuromotor tests were analyzed: strength of PM, for both
arms, number of pushups and BD amount of time in BE. Data analysis was carried out by Pearson
correlation p (<0.01) and multiple regression analysis. Three models were developed to predict for each
test of strength. The results showed a better explanation for the test of PM, with 81%, followed by the test
of BD, with 73% and the test of BE, with 44%. The manual prehension model presented the best values
for prediction based on such variables.
