O GACC-BA (Grupo de Apoio a Crianças com Câncer-Bahia) é uma instituição filantrópica que visa dar suporte a crianças e adolescentes carentes portadoras de câncer, onde suas dificuldades são um desafio diário e a rotatividade constante dos pacientes os afasta das atividades lúdico-pedagógicas propostas pela instituição. Posto isso, surge a seguinte pergunta: como um Ambiente Virtual Colaborativo com propostas de atividades lúdicas, poderia contribuir para melhoria da interação e participação das crianças, minimizando os problemas gerados pela rotatividade dos pacientes do GACC-BA? Com o intuito de amenizar o problema supracitado, a presente pesquisa tem por objetivo possibilitar aos pacientes assistidos alternativas de participação nas atividades, podendo dar continuidade às mesmas durante ou após o tratamento, através de um Ambiente Virtual Colaborativo, utilizando as tecnologias da informação como aliadas no processo de construção do conhecimento/aprendizagem, interação e participação. A referente pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, trata de um estudo de caso, onde se realizou análise dos dados dos serviços prestados, apresentando o cenário operacional da Instituição GACC-BA, sua importância para a sociedade, bem como a relevância da intervenção sugerida. Os resultados também sugerem quais ferramentas tecnológicas podem contribuir para a melhoria do processo de aquisição do conhecimento/aprendizagem, bem como podem colaborar com o suporte emocional dos atores do GACC-BA, possibilitando a continuidade das atividades realizadas pela Instituição, durante ou após o tratamento de pacientes.

The GAAC-BA (Child Cancer Support Group-Bahia) is A philanthropic institution that aims to support children and adolescents with cancer, where their difficulties are a daily challenge and the constant turnover of patients departs from the ludic-pedagogical activities proposed by the institution. Thus, the following question arises: as a Collaborative Virtual Environment with proposals for recreational activities, it could contribute to improve the interaction and participation of children, minimizing the problems generated by the turnover of patients in the GACC-BA? In order to mitigate the aforementioned problem, the present research aims to enable patients assisted by alternative participation in the activities, and can continue the same during or after treatment, through a Collaborative Virtual Environment, using information technologies as allies in the process of building knowledge/learning, interaction and participation. The referent research, of a qualitative nature, deals with a case study, where data analysis of the services provided, presenting the operational scenario of the institution GACCBA, its importance to society, as well as the relevance of suggested intervention. The results also suggest which technological tools can contribute to the improvement of the process of acquiring knowledge/learning, and can collaborate with the emotional support of the actors of the GACC-BA, enabling the continuity of activities Performed by the institution, during or after the treatment of patients.
