Resumos Cadastrados

A proposta tomista, no

This is the translation and commentary of the first Lesson of the third Book written
by Saint Thomas about the Aristotles’ Ethics. It has, as principal goals, the notion of
will and the idea of culpability that comes from the conscious choice of the man. The
thomistic purpose, however, is first about the idea of “involuntary” because it is more
simple than the “voluntary” one and that depends on the presence of violence or
ignorance. Besides, the text also shows some concrete cases, avoiding, principally, an
ideal that is considered only through an abstract point of view and this is a great
difference between him and the contemporary thinkers.
