Apontamentos para uma geo-história do vinho em Diamantina(1817-2000)

Este artigo organiza informações de diferentes fontes sobre a presença da vitivinicultura na região de Diamantina, MG,

reconhecida desde o século XVIII como de destacado potencial econômico para esse cultivo, em função de seu

terroir

característico.

erando a trajetória dessa atividade, entre o começo do século XIX e o final dos anos 1960, quando foi interrompida, procura

se refletir sobre as tentativas anteriores de implantação e viabilização econômica da indústria vinícola na região e tenta um

balanç

de seus resultados no período. No contexto de recuperação das vinícolas do Alto Jequitinhonha, a partir de 2004, resgatar a

trajetória

anterior pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento e a inovação na cadeia produtiva da vitivinicultura e do enoturismo re

gionais
