O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a poluição orgânica ao longo do perfil longitudinal do arroio do Engenho, Guarapuava (PR), em diferentes condições fluviométricas (perÃodo de cheia e estiagem). A metodologia pautou-se na coleta e análise de amostras de água obtidas distribuidamente ao longo do arroio. A partir dos dados obtidos, utilizou-se a Análise Descritiva, da Correlação r de Pearson e da Análise de Agrupamento para se definirem os diferentes padrões de qualidade da água ao longo do curso fluvial. O arroio do Engenho apresentou elevados nÃveis de poluição orgânica em quase toda sua extensão e diferenças pouco significativas entre os perÃodos de estiagem e cheia.
The research objective was to verify the effect of organic pollution, given the longitudinal profile in different fluviometric conditions (during rain and dry seasons) of Engenho stream, in Guarapuava (Paraná State, South Brazil). Water samples were collected throughout the stream longitudinal profile and then analyzed on the basis of the descriptive analysis, Correlation r of Pearson and Cluster Analysis, which were used to describe the different water quality patterns that emerged from the data. The Engenho stream presented high organic pollution levels in all its extension and there were small differences during rain and dry seasons.
