ADAPTAÇÃO AO AMBIENTE DO ENSINO SUPERIOR: PERCEPÇÃO DOS ALUNOS DO CURSO DE CIÊNCIAS CONTÁBEIS

O objetivo desta pesquisa foi identificar a percepção dos alunos dos cursos de Ciências Contábeis do sistema da Associação Catarinense das Fundações Educacionais (ACAFE) da mesorregião do Vale do Itajaí (SC) sobre o processo de adaptação ao ambiente do ensino superior. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva, por meio de levantamento, com abordagem quantitativa. Utilizou-se o Questionário de Vivências Acadêmicas (QVA-r), instrumento validado em pesquisas anteriores. Os resultados demostram que o gênero feminino representa 68,84% dos respondentes; 64,65% escolheram o curso de Ciências Contábeis em primeira opção. Quanto às dimensões apontadas no QVA-r, a Pessoal é a que representa a maior dificuldade para os alunos no processo de adaptação ao ensino superior, com média de 3,4; seguida das dimensões Estudo (3,5), Interpessoal (3,7) e Carreira (3,8). A dimensão em que os alunos apresentam menor dificuldade é a Institucional, com média 4,0. Observa-se que estudantes que estão no curso de sua primeira opção apresentam-se mais satisfeitos e integrados em relação aos demais. Conclui-se que a pesquisa possibilita aos dirigentes do curso de Ciências Contábeis conhecerem as dificuldades apontadas pelos alunos na adaptação ao ensino superior, permitindo desenvolver estratégias no sentido de minimizar as dificuldades apontadas.

The aim of this research is to identify the perception of students in Accounting Sciences from Associação Catarinense das Fundações Educacionais (ACAFE) undergraduate courses at the mesoregion of Vale do Itajaí/SC on the process of adaptation to the higher education environment. Therefore, a descriptive research was conducted through a survey with the quantitative approach. Besides, the instrument used was the Academic Experiences Questionnaire that was validated in previous researches. The results demonstrate that female is 68.84% of the respondents; 64.65% chose Accounting Sciences as the first option. Regarding the dimensions indicated in the questionnaires, the Personal is the most difficult one for students in the process of adaptation to higher education, with an average of 3.4; followed by Study (3.5), Interpersonal (3.7), and Career (3.8). The dimension in which students have less difficulty is the Institutional, averaging 4.0. Moreover, it is observed that students who are in the undergraduate course as their first option show more satisfaction and integration than the others. The research concluded that the findings provide to the Accounting Sciences undergraduate course leaders knowledge about the difficulties pointed out by the students in adapting themselves to higher education, which allows the institutions to develop strategies in order to minimize the pointed out difficulties.
