O objetivo principal desde trabalho é divulgar estudos inicias sobre o acervo e a memória do professor José Pereira Lins, nome dos mais expressivos intelectuais sul-mato-grossenses, que deixou significativo legado à comunidade e cultura do estado de MS. O trabalho põe em perspectiva a vertente dos estudos e da crítica autobiográfica contemporânea, de natureza comparatista, visando à recuperação de acervo, da memória e do resgate de fontes primárias. Com isso, verificou-se que o intelectual e escritor douradense e sulmato-grossense deixou registrado não só um dos mais representativos acervos histórico- -literários, imprescindível ao conhecimento da cultura brasileira, mas também inscreveu-se como homem de Letras de seu tempo por meio de um currículo bem diversificado. Disso se conclui que o professor José Pereira Lins torna-se nome emblemático e dos mais representativos para a real compreensão da história regional do estado de MS. Fundamental para essa constatação foi a consulta ao acervo bibliográfico disponível na biblioteca da UFGD, bem como ao levantamento de uma fortuna crítica inicial que assinala para a pertinência do estudo e a expressiva produtividade em torno do acervo e da memória do professor, escritor e homem de Letras.
The main objective of this work is to disclose initial studies on Professor José Pereira Lins' personal collection and memory. Professor José Perereira Lins is one of the most expressive Sul-mato-grossense intellectuals, that left a significant legacy for both community and culture of the MS State. This work puts in perspective the contemporary autobiographical studies and criticism, of a comparative nature, aiming at the recovery of the personal collection and memory and the redemption of primary sources. Thus, it was found that the Douradense and Sul-mato-grossense intellectual and writer has left registered not only one of the most representative historical-literary collections, essential to the knowledge of the Brazilian culture, but also enrolled himself, through a well diversified curriculum, as a man of letters of his time. All things considered, Professor José Pereira Lins becomes an iconic - and one of the most representative - name for the real understanding of MS State regional history. Fundamental to this finding was consulting the bibliographic collection available in the UFGD library, as well as the lifting of an initial critical fortune that points out to the relevance of the study and the expressive productivity around the professor, writer and man of letters' personal collection and memory.
