Em 1968, aconteceu a Conferência de Medellín (Colômbia) do CELAM (Conferência Episcopal Latino-Americana) para concretizar, na América Latina, o Concílio Ecumênico Vaticano II (1962-1965). O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a rica dinâmica das reuniões desta Conferência com a produção de documentos realistas e ecumênicos, contando com a presença e participação de cristãos de outras denominações não católicas. Este artigo se baseia nestes documentos (Atas das reuniões) e que traz como resultados a comunhão eucarística por parte dos 250 participantes, inclusive os irmãos separados, feita esta comunhão eucarística com muita discrição para não dar escândalo.

In 1968, the Conference of Medellin (Colombia) of CELAM (Latin American Episcopal Conference) took place to realize the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council (1962-1965) in Latin America. The purpose of this article is to analyze the rich dynamics of the meetings of this Conference with the production of realistic and ecumenical documents, with the presence and participation of Christians from other non-Catholic denominations. This article is based on these documents (Minutes of the meetings) and brings the Eucharistic communion of the 250 participants, including the separated brothers, as a result, done with.
