“Sem revolução não há nação”: a nação cubana nos escritos de Fidel Castro (1953-1959)

O processo revolucionário cubano é um dos momentos mais importantes na história de Cuba. O ideário político de Fidel Castro influenciou nos rumos do sistema de governo que foi implantado em Cuba pós a revolução. Assim, vamos estudar os textos escritos por Fidel Castro entre 1953 e 1959 para verificar em que medida o líder principal da revolução já compartilhava de um projeto nacional para Cuba. Fazer a análise dos indícios da formação de um projeto nacionalista presente no ideário político de Fidel Castro passa por necessidade de correlacionarmos os escritos de Fidel com algumas idéias nacionalistas. Será através da revolução que os símbolos nacionais, datas comemorativas, monumentos, nomes de repartições públicas serão representados na “comunidade imaginada” cubana. O estudo da relação entre o processo revolucionário cubano, a ideia da nação e os escritos de Fidel Castro na construção de um projeto nacional é o nosso principal objetivo.

The Cuban revolutionary process is one of the most important moments in the history of Cuba. The Castro's political ideas influenced the direction of the government system that was deployed in Cuba after the revolution. Thus, we will study the texts written by Fidel Castro between 1953 and 1959 to ascertain to how much did the main leader of the revolution had already shared a national project to Cuba. To analyze the evidence of the formation of a nationalist project in the present political ideas of Fidel Castro it is necessary to correlate the writings of Fidel with some nationalistic ideas. The analysis will be through the national symbols, holidays, monuments, names of government agencies represented inside the "imagined community" in Cuba. The study of the relationship between the Cuban revolutionary process, the idea of the nation and the writings of Fidel Castro in the construction of a national project is our main goal.
